How to stake GLMR on Moonbeam(FAST)

This is a step-by-step guide on how to stake the glimmer token (GLMR) on Moonbeam.

Step 1 Add the Moonbeam network to your MetaMask wallet

Click on the network dropdown on your MetaMask wallet and click “add network”.

Fill in the following details of the Moonbeam network:

Network Name: Moonbeam 

RPC: https://rpc.api.moonbeam.network

ChainID: 1284 

Symbol: GLMR 

Block Explorer: https://blockscout.moonbeam.network/

Step 2 Go to the Moonbeam app

You need to visit the site https://apps.moonbeam.network/moonbeam

Accept the permissions that pop up from your MetaMask wallet.

You will now see the Homepage:

Step 3 Select a Collator

You need to now scroll down to the Staking section and click Manage Delegations

Choose a collator from the list:

When choosing a collator you should note that the following rules apply:

  1. The less the “total bonded” the collator has, the more you will earn.
  2. The more blocks per round the collator has, the more rewards you will get.

Step 4 Delegate

When you have chosen a collator you can delegate your GLMR by choosing your amount and clicking Delegate. The minimum GLMR you need to stake is 50.

MetaMask will pop up and you will need to confirm your transaction and then your funds and rewards will appear in the dashboard above.

You have staked your Glimmer (GLMR) on Moonbeam.
